Contactor on a Goodman GSX140361 seized up completely — unit was drawing power but compressor wouldn't kick on at all. Pulled the electrical panel and found the 40-amp contactor contacts welded shut from years of arcing. Swapped it with a Honeywell replacement, checked the capacitor while I was in there since it looked original. Cap tested fine at 35 mfd but replaced it anyway given the age of the unit.
