General Remodel in Newburgh, NY

Homeowner wanted a general remodel covering the main living areas — we're talking flooring throughout the first floor, drywall patching in three rooms, trim work, and interior door replacements. When I pulled the existing baseboard trim in the front room, I found the subfloor underneath had a soft spot about 4 feet wide — previous floor covering had trapped moisture long enough to compromise the OSB layer. Sistered in new 3/4-inch tongue-and-groove plywood across the affected section before laying the LVP flooring, otherwise that floor would have flexed underfoot within a year. Got the drywall patched, skim-coated, and primed; hung three new solid-core interior doors with proper shimming so they close without binding; and finished all the trim work in the same visit. Everything was buttoned up and walkable before I left.
