General Remodel near Brook Hollow Drive in New Windsor, NY

Homeowner wanted to open up the main living area — we were pulling out a non-load-bearing partition wall between the living room and dining space, replacing dated laminate flooring throughout, and patching in new drywall where an old built-in bookcase unit had been removed. Demo went clean once I confirmed with a stud finder and a quick inspection of the ceiling joists that nothing structural was involved and no electrical ran through that wall cavity. Swapped out a busted pocket door frame in the hallway while I was at it — track was bent, rollers completely seized, the whole assembly needed to come out and get reframed before the new unit could seat correctly. Flooring went down last: 3/4-inch engineered hardwood, glued and nailed to the subfloor. Checked flatness across the entire run before starting — had one low spot near the old bookcase footprint that needed self-leveling compound to avoid telegraphing through the new material. Finished cuts, transitions, and baseboards were all set before I left. Space looks and functions completely differently now.
